In 2019, Keprom saved over 133 tons of CO2 from recycling packaging waste

Wednesday, 9 December 2020

Over the years, through recycling of packaging waste, Keprom has increasingly saved carbon dioxide, which would otherwise have ended up in the atmosphere and affect global warning and climate change. In 2019, Keprom saved 133.21 tons of CO2, which is better than last year by 50 tons.

Certificate of CO2 emission reduction is awarded by Sekopak, which uses a CO2 calculator to calculate the share in reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, based on the disposed and recycled quantities of packaging waste in the previous year. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the traditional CO2 conference has not been organised this year. At this conference, participants and environmentally conscious companies sum up their results and exchange experiences, and companies are awarded certificates for their contribution to reduction in CO2 emissions.

As an environmentally conscious company, Keprom will continue to promote and apply socially responsible practices in order to improve the quality of life of the community in which it operates.
