Keprom receives a certificate of CO2 emission reduction

Keprom has been awarded a certificate of contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere for the year 2014, thereby demonstrating once again the company’s commitment to socially responsible business practices.

The certificate was awarded to Keprom by Sekopak, the first and the only operator of the packaging waste management system in Serbia, which enables the industry to monitor their contribution to reducing the emission of the greenhouse gases. 

The certificate of contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions is awarded based on the CO2 calculator, which calculates the share of the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, based on the placed and recycled quantities of the packaging waste in the previous year. The results indicate that in the course of 2014, Keprom saved 26.94 tons of CO2, which means that in the previous year the company reduced the emission of the greenhouse gases by this amount and so contributed to improving the quality of life in the community where it operates.
